Qualified Voters may vote absentee In Person or by Mail.
The Charleston County Board of Voter Registration & Elections will issue all Absentee Ballots; ballots can be requested 30 days prior to Election Day.
Absentee Applications will need to be submitted prior to obtaining a ballot; these can be requested from their office via phone, mail, email, or fax (see contact info above in red boxes) and will be sent to you in the mail. Voters can also obtain Absentee Applications online by clicking here.
After submitting an application, voters will receive their ballot in the mail. All Absentee Ballots must be either mailed or hand delivered to the Charleston County Board of Voter Registration office.
