Email receivd from Dominion energy
As you are aware, inclement weather is forecasted for our area beginning early next week and possibly lasting several days. High winds, excessive rainfall and some flooding is expected. While we are not sure the extent the system will affect our operations, there is the potential for power outages across portions of our service territory in the Midlands and along the coast.
Our crews stand ready 24/7 to respond.  Additionally, we have begun coordinating with other utilities and contract companies for additional resources.
We prepare year-round for severe weather by investing in the safeguarding of our system through routinely maintaining and inspecting our facilities and replacing wooden poles with steel poles. Importantly, our vegetation management program helps safeguard our system, the safety of our employees and the general public. Trees and tree limbs are the No.1 reason for outages across our system.
