Meggett's Annual Spring Litter Cleanup!
Saturday, April 26TH| 8AM - 1PM
EVENT REGISTRATION
Please be sure to complete both sections below.
If for any reason, part or all of your registration is missed, please do not worry, Town Staff will be onsite the morning of the event helping to complete any required forms.

Important Start TIme information
The Big Spring Clean begins at 8AM, we understand that 3-4 hours might be too long for some of our volunteers. 

For anyone who prefers to sign up for a shorter time, please email Stephanie Smith at [email protected] for a 10AM start time. 

Don't worry, you will still finish with your team between 11:30AM-12PM and join us for a yummy lunch at noon!
RECOMMENDED ATTIRE AND SUPPLIES ​
Recommended Attire
  • Snake Boots/Rubber Boots/Mud Boots
  • Long Pants
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Bright Colored Clothing
If you have your own, please bring:
  • "Litter Grabbers"
  • Gloves
  • Safety Vest

​The Town will supply safety vests, gloves, bags, and bug spray. 
The Town also has a limited number of grabbers.

Score cards are handed out the day of the cleanup.

Improved Safety Measures for our Volunteers!
Meggett Welcomes Charleston County Sheriff Officers

​The 2025 spring cleanup was cut short due to dangerous conditions along our roadways due to reckless drivers.  In response to the dangerous road conditions, the Town is requesting four "Off Duty" Charleston County Sheriff Officers to follow behind each group on April 26TH!
​
Palmetto Pride & SCDOT Safety Training Toolkit
The Town will continue to include additional safety measures such as roadway signs and safety gear.  To ensure that extra level of safety, we would like to encourage all our volunteers to complete the Safety Training Toolkit prepared by Palmetto Pride and SCDOT included in the section below.
