Business Licenses
Any type of business, home occupation, or work that take place inside Town limits must have a Town of Meggett Business License. The fee for a business license is based on the business location, business type, and the cost of work being performed.
Town of Meggett Business Licenses are categorized in two ways: Annual Business and Non-Resident Contractor.
Annual Business LicensesBusinesses that fall under this category:

Non-Resident ContractorsThis option is specific to a contractor that does not have a permanent business location within the Town of Meggett, but is performing contracted work or is otherwise engaging in business activity within Town limits.
Businesses that typically fall into this category are:
*All construction associated businesses must have a current Town of Meggett Business License before obtaining a Charleston County Permit for the address where the work is being completed. |

This form is for businesses that are based in Meggett or if their business activity will not require Building/Zoning Permits. |

This form is for Non-Resident Contractors who are applying for the first time in 2019. Subsequent licenses can be applied for using the License Upgrade form below. *Licenses are issued per job, Non-Resident Contractors are NOT ELIGIBLE for Annual Licenses. |

For Non-Resident Contractors that have already submitted an initial application in 2019 and need a license for a new job location. |

Vendor/Peddler License *NEW* |
This form is for businesses that will be participating in local Farmer's Markets and events within the Town of Meggett. Renewals required annually. $25 license fee. |
- Complete and submit the appropriate Business License Application to the Town of Meggett – Business License Division.
2. Business License Division will review and process the Business License Application, determine the appropriate NAICS Code, and calculate the
fees due. Payment instructions will be forwarded to the applicant following approval.
3. Once the payment is made in full, a business license will be issued.
